Youth Mentoring
Youth Mentoring Project Award Announcement
The California Department of Social Services, Immigration and Refugee Programs Branch is pleased to announce it
awarded $650,000 of Refugee Support Services funding for the grant period of October 1, 2019 through September 30,
2020 to provide mentoring services to refugee youth age 15 through 24.
The project’s goal is to support the integration of refugee youth; the objective is to provide youth the opportunity to
identify and prioritize goals that will support their integration while also developing positive and meaningful
relationships with empathetic and culturally responsive mentors. The Department awarded proposals from twelve non-profit
organizations.
