Resource Guide
Resource Guide for Stakeholders and Highly Educated Refugees
The “Resource Guide for Stakeholders and Highly Educated Refugees” contains information on programs and services for college-educated refugees. These resources are intended to help professional refugees attain employment in the field for which they were educated and trained.
Medical Resources
Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA)/Entrant Medical Assistance (EMA) provides
needy refugees who are otherwise ineligible for Medi-Cal or Covered
California may be eligible for health services for eight months. A refugee does
not have to receive RCA to receive RMA/EMA benefits. The RMA/EMA program is
administered by the California Department of Public Health,
Office of Refugee Health and delivered at the local level through a Refugee Health Coordinator.
RMA/EMA programs serve
all 58 counties in the state and are operated locally by county social
services/welfare departments. Refugees may apply for benefits in the county

Language Resources
The Center for Applied Linguistics offers research and resources that seeks solutions to issues involving language and culture as they relate to access and equity in education and society around the globe.
