How You Can Help
Donate Online to the State Children's Trust fund
Your donation to the State Children’s Trust Fund (SCTF) will go towards child abuse prevention programs in California. The SCTF funds public awareness, research, and innovative, child-centered approaches to prevent child abuse and neglect. The Fund also supports the California Evidence Based Clearinghouse, which scientifically rates the effectiveness of child abuse and neglect programs, and free online mandated reporter training that enables people who work with children to understand their responsibilities under the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Law.

Order a Specialty License Plate – Kids’ Plates
You can help prevent child abuse by proudly displaying the special kids plates on your vehicle. The fees collected from the Kids Specialty License Plates are deposited in the Child Health and Safety Fund and used for programs that keep California kids safe, which include child care safety, child abuse prevention, and efforts to prevent childhood injuries. Order from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
Voluntary Tax Contribution - Check off Child Abuse!
Every California taxpayer will have the opportunity to donate all or a portion of their individual 2019 tax refund (form 540 or via Turbo Tax) to the State Children’s Trust fund. The Voluntary Contribution Funds program, operated by the State of California Franchise Tax Board, collects critical funds to support the Trust’s statewide programs for the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect.
