CCDD Direct Deposit

The 2021 Budget Act provided CDSS with funding to modernize payment options to child care and development contractors through the option of direct deposit. CDSS is pleased to announce its contract with the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) that will provide child care and development contractors with the option to receive direct deposit payments in early 2022 to ensure timely payment for child care and development services.

What is Direct Deposit? What are the Benefits?

Direct deposit is an electronic transfer of funds that will allow child care and development contractors to receive payment directly to their bank account.

In the past, child care and development contractors received their apportionments via paper checks from the State Controller’s Office. Direct deposit will allow for faster payment and eliminates some of the administrative efforts required to process paper checks.
