CCDD Direct Deposit

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is transitioning to a new system to manage and retain information for all vendors, including Child Care Programs receiving funding from CDSS. This new platform, known as the Supplier Information Management (SIM) system, is housed within the Coupa Supplier Portal, (Coupa) and is overseen by the Financial Information System of California (FI$Cal). We appreciate your cooperation as we work towards moving to a more streamlined and efficient process.

The 2021 Budget Act provided CDSS with funding to modernize payment options to child care and development contractors through the option of direct deposit. The CDSS partnered with the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) to provide child care and development contractors with direct deposit in 2022.

While we continue to move forward, please be advised that payments will continue to be issued by the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) up to the completion of the transition.

ATTENTION CONTRACTORS: The deadline to update and/or add your banking detail to Coupa to continue receiving Direct Deposit post transition, is May 31st, 2026.

What is Direct Deposit? What are the Benefits?

Direct deposit is an electronic transfer of funds (EFT) that allows child care and development contractors to receive payments directly to their bank account.

In the past, child care and development contractors received payments via paper checks from the State Controller’s Office only. Direct deposit allows for faster payment and eliminates some of the administrative efforts required to process paper checks.

Please note that if you wish to continue receiving paper checks through the transition, that is still possible.
