MADE Pre- Apprenticeship Program (Mentorship Advances Discovery and Exploration): A 3-month program for underrepresented minority (URM) individuals with an interest in behavioral health careers. Participants shadow substance use navigators (SUNS) in clinical and community settings and receive pre-employment and hands-on training.

Mentor Program: The MIMS Mentor Program pairs post-secondary students and graduates with a health professional or health professional student for a 6-month period. This program is designed to give participants access to individual mentorship, webinars and additional resources that will provide a competitive edge as participants prepare to apply to health professional school.

Be 16-24 years old

Have an interest in pursuing a career in health with priority going to individuals looking to participate in the Alameda County Health Coach Apprenticeship upon completion of the pre-apprenticeship

Be available to participate 15-20 hours per week during the 12-week program

Must qualify for at least one of the following:

Current/Former Foster Youth

Pell-eligible

WIOA adult or youth eligible

Attending, or a graduate of, a Title 1 High School

Living in a high-poverty census tract

The HireLAX Program provides local residents access to enroll in a comprehensive, construction apprenticeship preparation program offered by select public agencies or community partners. Upon completion, program graduates are competitively positioned for placement consideration on a LAWA construction project through its contractors and local craft unions. Veterans and women are strongly encouraged to participate in the program.

Strong interest in a construction career;

Be at least 17 ¾ years of age (on June 6, 2026);

California Driver's License (or ID & be actively working to get your license);

Social Security Card;

High School Diploma or Equivalency or Current Enrollment in an Equivalency Program (bring proof of enrollment for faster processing);

Climate Warriors is a four-week environmental justice-focused filmmaking program for San Francisco youth who want to change the world!

BAVC Media is pleased to offer a four-week environmental justice-focused filmmaking program for high school-aged youth between the ages of 14-18, from San Francisco and across the Bay Area. Participants will develop skills in video and audio production within a collaborative environment, apply those skills to develop a short documentary video project tied to an environmental justice theme, and connect the production of the short video to a social impact plan. Our filmmaking climate warriors will not only complete the 4-week intensive program with a holistic understanding of an environmental issue facing our communities but also with an in-depth understanding of how to convey a dynamic story through filmmaking!

The Northern California Sound and Communication Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee helps to provide a highly trained and skilled workforce for apprentices in the low voltage electrical industry in Northern California. It also provides ongoing instruction for Installer/Technicians.

Apply Online To Become An Apprentice in the NorCal JATC Sound and Communication program.

1. Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the D.M.V., must be 17 years of age at the time of application, 18 years of age at the time of selection and registration.

2. Complete an application form, accurately responding to all questions, including statements indicating you are:
   A. Physically and mentally able to safely perform or learn to safely perform essential functions of the job.
   B. Able to get to and from work at job sites as assigned.
   C. Able and willing to attend all Related Supplemental Instruction, as required.
   D. Able to climb and work from ladders, scaffolds, poles, and towers of various heights.
   E. Able to crawl and work in cramped spaces such as attics, maintenance holes, and crawlspaces.
   F. Able to read, hear and understand instructions and warnings.
   G. Show evidence of successful completion of one full year (2 semesters) of High School Algebra or one semester of College Elementary Algebra with a minimum grade of “C” or equivalent or provide evidence of having completed the Electrical Training ALLIANCE Tech Math Course. Available on-line at IBEW - NECA Electrical Training Alliance. Pre-Algebra does not meet this requirement.

3. Must have one of the following: a high school diploma, a G.E.D., or a two-year Associate Degree or higher.

4. Provide official (“sealed”) transcript(s) for high school or post-high school education and training. G.E.D. records must be submitted, if applicable. All records and transcripts must be in English.

5. If a Veteran, submit form DD-214 for possible consideration of applicable military training and experience.

6. Score “4” or higher on the electrical trade’s aptitude test developed and validated by the American Institutes for Research. The aptitude test includes reading comprehension and introductory algebra. See website for more information http://www.electricaltrainingalliance.org/samplepage.

7. Consent to Substance Abuse Screening.

8. Applications must be completed by the applicant. All required documentation must be provided by the applicant to complete a “qualified” application.
