Cal-OAR Second Cycle

Overview

The Cal-OAR process is structured in five-year cycles, with a County Self-Assessment, System Improvement Plan, and two Progress Reports required every five years. The first five-year cycle began in July 2021 and will conclude June 30, 2026, the second begins July 1, 2026, and concludes June 30, 2031.

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is in the process of updating various Cal-OAR resources, templates, and training materials ahead of the next Cal-OAR cycle.
