This Management Bulletin revises the Day Care Home (DCH) Sponsors Administrative Manual Section 511 B entitled State Meal Reimbursement. Effective immediately, DCH sponsors are not required to disburse state reimbursement payments to day care home providers within five working days of receipt.
Previous guidance required that DCH sponsors disburse all
reimbursement to providers within five working days of receipt. We have determined that this time requirement does not apply to state meal reimbursement. To help reduce administrative costs to your program, DCH sponsors may disburse the state reimbursement payments at the same time they disburse the next federal reimbursement payment to providers.
Please note that the requirement to disburse reimbursement to providers within five working days is a federal regulation and applies to the federal reimbursement.
