January 29, 2025
- PowerPoint Presentation (January 29, 2025)—Jessie Rosales, CACFP Branch Chief, provided an update on the California Department of Social Services' (CDSS) wildfire response. The CACFP Branch’s new Engagement and Equity Unit shared how they plan to enhance engagement with diverse audiences through partner mapping, announced the launch of the CACFP Satisfaction Survey designed to help CDSS better learn how to serve the CACFP community, and provided an overview of the CDSS Language Access Plan to increase the amount of translated written materials for CACFP participants over the next 5 years.

- PowerPoint Presentation (October 30, 2024)—Jessie Rosales, CACFP Branch Chief, provided an update and congratulated Rialto Unified School District for receiving USDA’s Healthy Meals Incentives Recognition Award for Innovative School Lunch Makeover, Innovation in Nutrition Education, Innovation in the Cultural Diversity of School Meals, and Innovation in the Preparation of School Meals. There also was Farm to CACFP and SHINE Preschool news and information.

- PowerPoint Presentation (April 24, 2024)—Jessie Rosales, CACFP Branch Chief, shared CACFP news and Bose Labisi and Oby Okoye, Field Services’ Reviewers shared common Administrative Review (AR) Questions and Answers.
- April Stay Connected Transcription Summary—Summary of Discussion with Field Services staff and Guest CACFP Operators—Jessica Dailey-Keithline, Field Services Bureau Chief, and Marianne Zamierowski, Child Nutrition Supervisor II, Southern and Central Regions, discussed the transition of the CACFP to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and how becoming a social services program has informed their approach to ARs. Stephanie Prideaux, Nutrition and Dietetics Manager, AltaMed Health Services’ Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and Violet Oquendo, Compliance Training and Monitoring Manager, Options for Learning, responded to questions related to their experience with the CDSS CACFP Team and their preparation for ARs.

- PowerPoint Presentation (January 31, 2024)—Jessie Rosales, CACFP Branch Chief, provided an update and introduced the Leadership Team at the CACFP Branch. The presentation included an interactive skit, “Days of our CACFP Lives”, which followed a new agency through the CACFP life cycle.
